A Day of Empowerment and Education: Our Experience at TSU on World Diabetes Day

On November 14th we had the honor of engaging with the vibrant community at Tennessee State University (TSU) on World Diabetes Day. Setting up our booth on campus was an exciting opportunity to connect with young minds about an issue close to our heart — diabetes awareness.

Throughout the day, we found ourselves immersed in deep conversations with students and faculty, sharing our journey with diabetes and listening to their experiences and concerns. It was enlightening to see the curiosity and eagerness to learn among the attendees. We tackled myths, discussed the realities of living with diabetes, and explored ways to manage and prevent it.

At Diabetic Social, we believe in empowering individuals with knowledge and support. Our presence at TSU was a testament to this belief. The interactions we had not only spread awareness but also forged new connections. It was heartening to see the spark of understanding in people's eyes as they discovered more about diabetes.

The day at TSU was more than just an awareness campaign; it was a step towards building a more informed and health-conscious community.
